The shingles were loose and peeling apart from the roof decking. This was providing an opportunity for water and other outside elements to enter through these gaps.

Removing the Old Materials
The crew put up tarps to protect the home and collect shingles on the ground.
Installing Roof Decking Tape
At Klaus, we have a roof decking tape called Sealoron XT. We use this to seal all of the gaps between the planks of roof decking. This also provides extra leak protection.
Laying Down New Underlayment
Here, the roofers are putting down the new underlayment. This is a synthetic material used to provide a second layer of protection for the home.
